Topic: The Meaning of life (Discipleship, waiting room)

Ecclesiastes 6:12 KJV

For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

Knowing and understanding the meaning of life is vital for everyone who will make the most of it.

If you're asked this question; Do you want to live or die?

Of course your answer and that of many will be, "I want to live"

But if you're asked this question:

What is life?

We will get different answers many of which are not true. Everyone sees and defines life from his point of view, hence what we call life isn't life. Irrespective of our answers our way of life tells our real definition of life.

Someone once told me, "you kept studying all these years, you need to think about making a lot of money for yourself, because that's the essence of life"

To some people the essence of life is to keep relevance by acquiring knowledge and certificate. To some it's making money, to some its sexual relationships, to some it's to be in charge, oppress and intimidate others and many more.

This is we see people running back and forth to get every certificate possible, people doing just anything to acquire money and are never satisfied and all manner of strange things that have defined people's life.

Hear Jesus's view on the matter.

Matthew 16:26 KJV

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

I recently passed a comment on a young man who seemed not to have taken his academics seriously. After he suffered a certain loss, I  said "what a pity,  had he been serious with his studies it would have been fairer for him, now the realities of life will be done on him"

I unconsciously referred to academic excellence and earning good living as the reality of life. Few weeks later I got a shocking news that change my orientation completely; the young man was dead. Then I knew my perspective to life, while addressing his matter was totally wrong. Had he gotten excellent certificate up to PhD level,  at that point of death they all become useless. 

The reality of life is what we face at death, when life in the flesh is over. 

So the main essence of life is to prepare for eternity. 

Do you now know the answer?

What is life?

Or rather,

who is life? 

Jesus is life, it's only in Him you can fulfill life and secure eternity. 

It's good to understand the meaning of life, while you are yet alive.

Life application 

 Reconsider your priorities in life, and deliberately put God first. Choose to live your life daily as if it's the last, while occupying this world. Study, make money, get married but don't lose heaven any of it.

Prayer 🙏

● we turn to you in full repentance, to seek you with our whole heart, have mercy on us oh Lord.

● Oh Lord Jesus,  help me to please you completely. 

● Lord Jesus, help me to live my life with a perfect understanding. 

● O Lord hold my right hand to teach me your ways, let nations be subdued before me and every mountain leveled.  

  ● Oh Lord preserve your blessings over me, may no evil come near me in Jesus name.

● Oh Lord, we ask for your mercy over the nations of the earth, remember mercy oh Lord.

● Pray for the preservation of the health workers.

● Pray for those affected all over the world.

● We bring China🇨🇳, Italy🇮🇪, United Kingdom🇬🇧, United States,🇱🇷 Iran🇮🇳, UAE🇦🇪, Canada🇨🇦, Nigeria🇳🇬, Ukraine🇺🇦 and all the countries affected before you, let your healing power flow through the nations in Jesus name.
