Topic: Man of the people (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 12:2-3 KJV
And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. [3] And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
Herod killed Apostle James, and he saw it pleased the people, so he proceeded for a bigger catch. The herodian spirit never gets satisfied until, it finds a disgraceful termination.
The herodian spirit operates in those who wants to be "the man of the people". Such people mind people rather than minding God.
Many preachers have fallen into the web of this strange spirit, they try to stop the move of God by murdering other ministers of God. When they do it and perceive that people are pleased, they go worse than they were.
God told me "you can't be a man of the people and be a man of God, if you choose the people, you'll loose God"
A man of the people does what the people will like and not what God wants.
Have you been seeking to please people regardless of God's words?
Beware of the herodian spirit!
it only prepares a man for destruction.
Prayers: Father help me to live a life that portrays your personality always. May I not cherish men above God.
