Challenging His Lordship (Apostolic Revival)

Herald of Maranatha
Daily Fresh From God
Topic: Challenging His Lordship (Apostolic Revival)
Acts 10:11-16
11 and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth. 12 In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. 13 And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.”14 But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”
15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has [f]cleansed you must not call common.” 16 This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.

A usual question, we've always answered as Christians is, "Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior?"
Many people do not understand that question, because they don't know the meaning of "Lord".
Lord definition, a person who has authority, control, or power over others; a master, chief, or ruler.
That Jesus is Lord is no news to us, but to make this personal is the issue. When Jesus becomes your personal Lord, He will be the one to control your life's affairs.
What the Apostle did from our text, is what many of us do on daily basis, doing things in our own way and disregarding God's instructions, "NOT SO LORD". How dare you tell your Lord not so?
"Mal 1:6.  “A son honors his father,
And a servant his master.
If then I am the Father,
Where is My honor?
And if I am a Master,
Where is My reverence?
Says the Lord of hosts
To you priests who despise My name.
Yet you say, ‘In what way have we despised Your name?’"
Your Lord deserve you loyalty and obedience, at all time.
Though Peter knew it was God speaking yet, he was "too holy" to obey God, he doesn't want to be defiled, so he said "NOT SO LORD".
How many times have you said this secretly to God when no one is there to check, and you've gone your own way to do what seem right to you?
For Peter it was a trans, but for most of us it's a reality.
Do not challenge His Lordship!
Do not say NO to your Lord.

Prayers: Oh Lord Jesus Christ, help me to genuinely surrender to you as my Lord indeed.

Remain blessed
